This Saturday 11/15
Check out the Trashion Terminal: The Sound of a Place That Refuses to Die
One Night. One Street. 20+ Sound + Light Experiences.
THIS Saturday, November 15th from 6–9PM, for LBSoundBrowse “Heard” — a sound-art crawl through the heart of Belmont Shore.
Immerse yourself in the leisurely analog experience of sound browsing.
Over 20 spaces, both vacant and active, will be completely transformed for just three hours — with light, sound, and interactive experiences that you truly have to see (and hear!) to believe.
Expect things like:
– An orange seahorse of light and sound, roaming in celebration of our local Alamitos Bay seahorse colony
– A sonic sculpture that plays interactive songs and dances
– Macarons that talk back, and banana telephones
– A quartet of interdimensional beings interpreting otherworldly sounds
– Custom poems typed on a manual typewriter
– Multiple radios broadcasting a swirling static soundscape
– And yes, lots of weird, beautiful, interactive fun
Start at Chase Bank OR anywhere on 2nd Street between Livingston and Bay Shore. Just follow your ears! ***Trashion Terminal will be at Shore Strength Lab 4918 2nd St A, Long Beach, CA 90803. Easy to spots us from the street, come inside for ear and eye delights. Plus there will be a theremin (or two!) and special guests!
